Posted by : Arnold Corns

Ronnie McGrew appears every Thursday on the Irish Sentinel to talk about the town he loves so well. This week, after a cold snap in Dublin, he remembers inclement conditions in times gone by.

Ronnie McGrew was shot in the leg during a gig in Carlow and had a replacement knee made entirely of pewter fitted at the Mater Hospital.

Ronnie says “Too little and it’s just bad soup. Too much and it’s obvious in the autopsy. You need a old Premier Dairies cream carton. Fill it about half way and the job is Oxo”.
